Addiction Medicine & Private Detox in Mallorca | Es Castell
Addiction medicine with personal support
Addiction can develop gradually. The glass to unwind becomes a daily habit. A sleeping pill can no longer be left out. A substance increasingly determines the daily routine.
We meet you with respect and without reproach. Together we look at your use, your physical and mental health and what you want to change.
Detox and continued therapy
Physical stabilisation is an important part of treatment. For long-term change, many people additionally need support in dealing with cravings, stress and recurring patterns of use.
Depending on individual needs, our approach combines medical examination and assessment of withdrawal risks, medically supervised withdrawal treatment, medication support, psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care and preparation of further care.
Depression, anxiety, traumatic stress or sleep disorders may exist at the same time. We take them into account when planning treatment.
Important:
Alcohol and benzodiazepines in particular should not be stopped abruptly on your own if you are physically dependent. Have the approach clarified by a doctor beforehand.

Our rooms
Our rooms are furnished with great attention to detail – stylish and cosy like a boutique hotel. Warm colours, selected materials and a personal atmosphere create space to arrive and find calm.
Below Bellver Castle
Clínica Es Castell lies directly below the medieval Bellver Castle, by the castle park – with views of greenery and across the Bay of Palma. The surroundings offer distance from everyday life and a calm setting for your treatment.
Integrative support at LUMINA Cellular Spa
The inpatient therapy programme of our department of addiction medicine, psychiatry and psychotherapy includes integrative treatments at LUMINA Cellular Spa.
Depending on medical suitability and treatment phase, IHHT, PAPIMI, meditation and relaxation, for example, can be included as a complement. The selection is made individually in coordination with the treating team. The focus is on room for physical recovery, rest and a more conscious relationship with your own body. These options do not replace medical withdrawal treatment.
Breathe and discover new perspectives
Depending on your state of health and personal treatment plan, walks in the castle park, on the beach, along the promenade or at the marina can be part of your stay.
Sea air, Mediterranean light and a few steps at your own pace. Between treatments there can also be moments in which you can simply be. Room to breathe and to feel some lightness again alongside everything that is heavy.
FAQ
Addiction treatment for patients from German-speaking countries
If you would like to travel from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, please contact us before your trip.
We discuss your current situation, previous treatments, medication and relevant reports. We then clarify medical suitability, the planned treatment setting, availability and costs. A planned trip does not replace urgent medical care at your current location.
Costs and insurance
Treatment is provided on a private medical basis. Before starting you receive information on the planned services and costs.
For a request to your private health insurer we support you with the necessary medical documents. Reimbursement depends on your coverage and individual approval.
Do I need to be abstinent before contacting you?
No. Describe your current situation as openly as possible. Our doctors will clarify the next steps with you.
How long does treatment take?
That depends on the substance, history of use, your health and your treatment goals, among other things. A first assessment takes place in the medical consultation.
Can I get advice as a relative?
Yes. Relatives can also contact us and find out about our services and possible next steps.
Are places available at short notice?
Please ask about current occupancy. Admission is possible after medical assessment and depending on available capacity.
